Wow.. Just… Wow.
I have worked in the helpdesk/service industry for a long time now. Even more than that, I have called into numerous such lines over the course of my life, as have we all… but I have never seen anything like this before.
I called Dynowatt, my power company, today to get them to fax me some forms I needed to close my account as I am moving in the near future. The guy who aswered the phone said “Hello, Sir. We are currently experiencing very high call volumes. I am sorry that I will be unable to assist you at the moment, but can you please call back later when we are not experiecning such high call volumes.” When I explained that I merely needed a form emailed to me, he explained that he was unable to do this and re-itterated his request that I call back at a more convenient time for them.
Again, I say.. Wow.. Just… Wow.

Customer Service abounds, eh?
