Wangz Internet Relay Chat
1. Download and install Pidgin. You’re probably going to want to go ahead and setup Yahoo and ST, first.
2. From the Buddy List window, click Accounts > Add/Edit
3. At the Accounts screen, click Add
4. Switch the Protocol to IRC and make your info look like this, replacing “yourhandle” with any user name that is not taken.
5. Click save. It will probaly take about 10-20 seconds for it to connect to the server. Once you connect you should get a new window with a message from a bot.
6. From this window enter: /join #wangz “password” (if you don’t know the password, most likely you are not invited >:0 ) You should now be connected. If you have any problems, STGU and figure it out yourself.
hrm. Lemme see first the server has changed. so has the password and so has the password to the channel. Did you invite everybody yet?
don’t forget to remind the latex munching Wangz to update their client connection info.
